Aluminum body straight mute with copper bottom for trumpet. The strong but lightweight aluminum body has a brushed finish that helps hide fingerprints and reduce glare. The copper bottom is heaver and more dense than aluminum, giving the mute a darker sound that works especially well when playing soft. The base of the mute has a stairstepped taper and a conical dimple in the bottom. These help break up the sound waves inside the mute to improve sound quality and intonation over standard mutes with a flat bottom and smooth sides.
