music solo, as well as with the psychedelic folk/rock band, ‘Brig Aurora.’ Recently I also played in a workshop of one of my own original musicals called ‘The Gardener’ at the Chain Theatre (NYC).

I am also a trained actor, and have performed in professional productions of Grease and Seussical (Theater Workshop of Nantucket), and Falsettos (City Theater Company, Wilmington
DE). I have been in numerous musicals and plays throughout high school and college. Some of my favorite roles include: King Arthur (Spamalot), Emmett (Legally Blonde), Gaston (Beauty and
the Beast) and Horton (Seussical). When not performing live, I am also a recording artist, and have been self-producing and releasing music since 2019. You can look me up on any streaming platform!

B.F.A Musical Theater - Pace University  || M.F.A Music Composition - NYU Tisch

Teaching Philosophy:
I love music and enjoy playing it. I think that is the most important thing, the passion and the heart that goes into learning an instrument (including singing). Without that, the rest feelsarbitrary. With that in mind, I like to fill my lessons with a healthy balance of theory/technique and musical exploration and expression. I like to focus on a student’s individuality, because everyone has a unique musical voice that only they can bring to the table. I want to help students find that voice, and believe in themselves and their ability to make beautiful and emotionally resonant music. After learning the basics, I want to help improve a student’s technique through various exercises, while simultaneously focusing on the music they want to play/sing, and have a passion for. I also encourage improvisation and composition as a means of becoming more proficient and musically fulfilled.

Songwriting:
I want to encourage students to find their truth and speak from the heart through their songwriting. I can help students understand the common songwriting structures (verse/chorus,
AAB, etc.), as well as lyric technique (phrasing, rhyme scheme, etc.). I like to focus on helping students reach their full potential by guiding them beyond songwriting cliches and common
pitfalls. I can also help students develop chord progressions and riffs, and even help them learn how to produce their own music. I would love to help students learn to develop their own writing
process that they can carry with them outside of lessons so that they can continue to write and explore music on their own.
