The SE Hollowbody II combines the power and stability of a solid-body electric guitar with the captivating, resonance of a hollowbody instrument. The 85/15 "S" pickups deliver clarity and balance that sound big and musical in the hollowbody platform. Designed to look as good as it sounds, the SE Hollowbody II also features a figured maple top and back and mahogany sides and a mahogany neck (set-neck construction) with PRS trademark bird inlays. Both hollowbody and solidbody players will feel at home with the SE Hollowbody II.
An Ultra Playable Hollowbody
The Magic of the SEII resides in its unique construction: Eschewing the traditional full body center block, this guitar contains a small block located by the bridge. This allows the SE II to deliver all the traditional Hallmarks of a Hollow Body: Sustain, Resonance, and Focus: but you get it within a thinner profile. This makes the SE Hollowbody the perfect Hollowbody for those primarily used to solidbody instruments
Vintage-voiced 58/15 S humbucking pickups
The 58/15 pickups feature a hybrid magnet design that combines the clarity and articulation of alnico magnets with the warmth and depth of traditional humbuckers. This innovative design delivers a versatile sound that can handle a wide range of playing styles and genres. .
Wide-fat neck profile
The SEII rocks a 25" Scale mahogany set neck shaped wiht PRS's Wide Fat neck carve. That is topped with an ultra smooth ebony fingerboard. And yes dont worry, the iconic bird inlays are present and ready to take flight when you pick it up.
