As an award-winning musician, Zachary has appeared on television, radio, and has been featured in print on numerous occasions.
Genres of music taught: Classical, Rock, Pop, Metal, Country, Blues, Jazz, Flamenco
Education: Bachelor of Music (Music Education) - West Chester University, Bachelor of Music (Performance) - West Chester University, Master of Music (Performance) - University of Denver, Doctor of Musical Arts (Performance, in progress) - Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University.
Teaching Philosophy: My philosophy is that no two students are the same, so no two lessons should be the same. Through lessons, my goal is for each student to become the most well-rounded and well-equipped musician possible. This is done through a highly collaborative process between the teacher (me), the student, and the family. As a result of this collaborative process, I have an open door policy with all of my students. I encourage students and their families to always get in touch with me if there is anything they would like to ask during the week between lessons - my goal is for you to get better! Through working on playing mechanics, musical literacy, and developing a strong musical sense, my students grow into the best musicians they can be.
Favorite piece of music gear I own (or wish I owned!): 2011 Kenny Hill Performance Model Guitar.
Musical artists I am inspired by: J.S. Bach, Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Astor Piazzola, Roland Dyens, Frank Zappa, Jimi Hendrix, and Robert Beaser.
