The Oboe
The Oboe is a double reed musical instrument of the woodwind family. In comparison to other modern woodwind instruments, the oboe has a clear and penetrating voice. As a result, oboes are readily audible over other instruments in large ensembles. It is pitched in concert C and has a soprano range. Reeds are available in several degrees of hardness; a medium reed is usually used, and most beginners use medium-soft reeds. Do not store the reed on the mouthpiece; it is best to store it in a reed holder. So moisture does not absorb into the pads, use an absorbent drop swab to clean out the moisture from each section before you place it in the case.

Student Rent to Own Oboe Outfit

Monthly Instrument Rental - $69 per month

Rental Instrument
You will receive a quality, brand name Oboe with case & accessories. Your Oboe has been through quality control where it was thoroughly sanitized and checked over by our certified Brass & Woodwind Technician.

Rental Term
This is a Rent-to-Own program with a 3 Month Minimum. Your rental payment of $69 will be charged to your credit card each month. You may keep your Oboe until it is paid in full or you can return it at any time after the initial 3 month term and no further payments will be due.

Credit Check
The information that you supply during check out will be used to perform a credit check which is required for rental approval. By submitting your order, you agree to have your credit information reviewed by Bill's Music, Inc. You must be 18 years or older to apply.

Rental Agreement
When you are approved, you will be contacted via phone or email by a Bill's Music representative. We will send you your rental agreement which you will sign and return to Bill's Music.

Shipping
You can choose to have your item shipped to your front door or you can pick it up at Bill's Music.

Security & Maintenance Coverage
At your option, you can protect your instrument by adding Bill's Security & Maintenance Coverage (SMC). This costs an additional $4 per month. Read About SMC Here

Early Purchase Discount
Provided you are up to date on all payments, you have the option to receive an additional 30% off the remaining balance of your instrument if you decide to pay it off within the first year.

New Instrument Option
At any time within the first year you may elect to apply up to 12 months of rental payments towards the purchase of a new student model instrument of the same type. The new instrument must be of equal or greater value of the previously owned instrument you are renting.

Instrument Return
You can continue to make monthly rental payments until you own your instrument or choose to end your rental by returning your instrument to Bill's Music after the minimum 3 month period.
