Private rate: $30 per ½ hour, $55 per hour

Ages taught: Guitar, Electric Bass & Ukulele:  Age 8. Students age 6 or 7 can take a trial lesson to determine readiness
                      Trumpet: 11 and up. Students ages 9 or 10 can take a trial lesson to determine readiness

Experience playing music: I've been playing music for about 14 years, playing in churches, school bands, and college. I've made a lifetime hobby out of jamming either with others or by myself. Not only have I played a lot of music, I've also listened to a lot of music, constantly on the lookout for new genres and styles to break down and understand better.

Genres of music taught:  Many of my more dedicated students were taught classical and jazz pieces, but I've also helped students work on video game songs, soundtracks, musicals, and pop music. I also personally love funk and latin, and am always open to diving into new areas of music with my student.

Personal teaching style/philosophy: My first and foremost belief is to help the student do what they want to do. I believe the most important thing when learning an instrument is to fall in love with playing it. I work with my students to set clear goals and make sure that we are working towards it in a way that's special and specific to them, with having fun being my main goal of each lesson.
