Student Rent-to-Own Tenor Sax Outfit
The Tenor Sax
The Tenor Saxophone is in the woodwind family. It is made of brass, and is played with a single-reed mouthpiece. The wider end of the sax is flared slightly to form a bell, while the narrower end is connected to a mouthpiece similar to that of a clarinet. The tenor sax is larger and lower pitched than the alto sax. It is pitched in the key of Bb and uses a larger mouthpiece, reed, and ligature than the alto and soprano saxophones. Visually, it is easily distinguished from these instruments by the bend in its neck, or its crook, near the mouthpiece. A swab should be used to dry the instrument after each use. At Bill's Music we sell new and used Tenor Saxophones and also have a Rent to Own option, which you can learn more about by reading the information below.
