Personal teaching style/philosophy: “Practical skills and understanding. This is a careful balance of mechanics or technique and music theory. I sum up years of theory class into three easy steps and combine that with practical examples. I enjoy teaching all ages of students, children as well as older adults, and try to cater each lesson to the student’s goals using recording technology and various instruments to simulate real situations."
Ryan Raines has been teaching bass, guitar, and drums to classes and individuals since 2006 and has performed on national TV (WBFF FOX 45) and Radio broadcasts (WMBC) with his genre-bending band, "The Upstarters." Ryan also performs alongside legendary artists Angelo "Dr Madd Vibe" Moore of FISHBONE, Paul "H.R." Hudson of BAD BRAINS, and members of Parliament-Funkadelic in a band called the "Dr Madd Vibe Late Bloomer Experience." Since graduating from Towson University and interning at 98 Rock, Ryan has been teaching at Bill's Music House.
