Personal teaching style/philosophy: Students of any age and experience can develop in their musicianship and grow their musicality. Lessons are structured around helping students recognize and internalize the elements of music. Emphasis is placed on skill development and problem-solving so that students gradually form the means of directing their own development. Through working on a broadening of awareness, encouraging inquisitiveness, and treating learning as a series of explorations, students are guided in developing a discipline which allows for focused progress and enjoyable practice.
